Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV)
percentage to CGPA

Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV) — % → CGPA

Forward formula: % = CGPA × 10Source: Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal — Ordinance No. 4(A) (Section 40(1)), Ordinance for the Bachelor of Engineering 4-year Degree course under the Credit Based Grading System (applicable from July 2010, amended up to June 2013), §7.2 grade-to-percentage conversion (read with §8.3 division bands and the Credit Based Grading System grade table)Status: verifiedLast verified: 2026-06-23 · RGPV's B.E. ordinance (Ord. 4(A), §7.2) converts the cumulative grade point average to an equivalent percentage as: Percentage marks scored = CGPA × 100 ÷ 10, i.e. % = CGPA × 10 (CGPA 7.5 → 75%). This is consistent with the ordinance's own division bands (§8.3): First Division with Honours at CGPA ≥ 7.5 (≥ 75%), First Division at 6.5 ≤ CGPA < 7.5 (65–75%), Second Division at 5.0 ≤ CGPA < 6.5 (50–65%), with a minimum CGPA of 5.0 (50%) required for the degree. The grading is absolute-marks based (A+ 91–100 = 10 points down to D 31–40 = 4 points). Older aggregator pages that show (CGPA − 0.5) × 10 or a ÷9.5 variant for RGPV are not supported by this ordinance.
This reverses the official CGPA→% formula. A percentage on a transcript is the authoritative figure; the back-calculated CGPA is an estimate. Always confirm with your university.

Converting Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV) percentage back to CGPA

Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV) (Madhya Pradesh) officially converts CGPA to percentage with % = CGPA × 10. Enter your percentage above and the calculator solves for the CGPA on the 10-point scale.

Worked example

The official Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV) formula is % = CGPA × 10. To go the other way, you rearrange it to solve for CGPA. Starting from a percentage of 75%, the formula reverses to a CGPA of about 7.5 on the 10-point scale. You can check this by running 7.5 through the forward Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV) CGPA to percentage calculator — it returns 75%, confirming the two directions agree.

Why this is an estimate, not an official figure

A university issues your percentage from your actual CGPA, not the other way around — so reversing the formula recovers the CGPA that would produce that percentage. It matches in almost every case, but rounding on your transcript (for example a percentage printed to one decimal place) can shift the back-calculated CGPA slightly. When both numbers appear on your grade card, always quote the official CGPA rather than this estimate.
