The conversion sentence is in an official VU notice on VU's own admission domain (eadmission.vidyasagar.ac.in), dated Aug 2025, and explicitly covers VU CBCS UG and PG results including VU autonomous colleges. It is an admissions guideline rather than the academic regulation itself; the UG CBCS 2017/2019 and PG 2018-19 regulations (read in a college-hosted copy) give only grade tables (O 90-100 = 10, A+ 80-89 = 9 ... ) and SGPA/CGPA formulas without a conversion sentence. The CCFUP 2023-24 draft regulation clause 17.2 says the same 'CGPA x 10', but that full text was read only on an affiliated college site. Note: the VU guideline item (b) says CGPA from OTHER universities must be converted per that university's own rules. PG classification (PG regs clause 7.1) is by 60% aggregate for First Class.
