Formula
GPA = sum(grade points x credits) / sum(credits) using the institution's own percentage table. To approximate a US GPA, map each percentage to the US letter band and credit-weight.
Worked example
88% (A) -> 4.0, 75% (B) -> 3.0, 65% (C) -> 2.0, credit-weighted -> ~3.0 on the US 4.0 scale.
