Lateral entry is 120 credits from AY 2024-25. Grade scale (10-point absolute): S (Superior) = 10 (≥90), A (Excellent) = 9 (80-89), B (Very Good) = 8 (70-79), C (Good) = 7 (60-69), D (Average) = 6 (50-59), E (Pass) = 5 (40-49), F (Fail) = 0, Ab (Absent) = 0. Class is awarded on CGPA, not percentage: First Class with Distinction ≥ 7.5, First Class 6.5–<7.5, Second Class 5.5–<6.5, Pass Class 5.0–<5.5. Note this regulation has NO supplementary-appearance bar on Distinction, unlike the Avanthi and DIET documents. Non-credit audit courses are marked Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory and excluded from SGPA/CGPA/percentage. Honors requires 15 additional credits and CGPA 7 with no backlogs.
