Class is awarded on CGPA, not percentage, and NEC's bands are unusually low at the bottom: First Class with Distinction ≥ 7.75 (with NO subject failures), First Class ≥ 6.75 (with subject failures permitted), Second Class 5.75 to < 6.75, Pass Class 4.75 to < 5.75, FAIL below 4.75.
