Until now every R23-generation AP autonomous regulation read — SRKR R23, KHIT R23, NRIIT NRIA23, GIETEC GEBT24, KITS Divili KITS24, DNRCET DR24, SGIT-R25 — carried (CGPA − 0.5) × 10, matching JNTUK R23. PACE R23 carries −0.75. The generation hypothesis therefore predicts the majority case but is NOT a rule, and cannot be used to infer a constant for any unread college. This single row is the strongest argument in the whole sweep for the verified-data-first policy: an inference from regulation vintage would have produced a 2.5-point error here. || THE −0.75 AND THE RAISED CLASS BANDS TRAVEL TOGETHER. PACE pairs −0.75 with 7.75/6.75/5.75/5.0 thresholds. So do NEC R20 (7.75/6.75/5.75/4.75) and LBRCE R-20 (7.75/6.75/5.75/5.0). Every −0.5 college in this batch pairs it with 7.5/6.5/5.5/5.0. The class-band set may be a usable secondary signal when a grading table is visible but the conversion clause is not — worth testing against future rows, though not yet reliable enough to act on. || INTERNAL CONSISTENCY: (CGPA − 0.75) × 10 reduces to 10·GP − 7.5, mapping grade points to band lower bound plus 2.5 rather than to midpoints. || THE REGULATION IS NOTABLY WELL-ADAPTED: unlike most colleges in this batch, PACE has systematically replaced 'University' with 'institution', 'principal' or 'Head of the Department' throughout §11, §12, §13, §15 and §28 — the Vice-Chancellor references that survive elsewhere are gone. Residue survives only in §18(c) ('fee payable to the University') and §9(o). Also uniquely, the document is typeset in LaTeX rather than Word, which is why the SGPA formula renders oddly in extraction. || DISTINCTIVE PROGRAMME: PACE offers B.Tech CSE (Indian Language) — code 63, branch short name CSE-R — and §26 states that the medium of instruction and examination for the AICTE-approved Indian language B.Tech programme is Telugu and English. This is the only bilingual-medium engineering programme encountered in the batch. || TWELVE B.TECH BRANCHES, an unusually wide spread including CSE(IoT & Cyber Security including Blockchain) and Electronics Engineering (VLSI Design & Technology). || ADDRESS: the college's own regulation title page says 'NH-16, Near Valluramma Temple, Ongole-523272', matching the UGC row. Wikipedia and targetadmission still say NH-5 (the former designation of the same highway) and place it at Valluru village, Tangutur mandal. || CAMPUS SIZE CONFLICT: collegedekho gives both 20 acres and 40 acres on the same page. IMPORTANT — PACE USES −0.75, NOT −0.5, DESPITE BEING AN R23 REGULATION. Most AP autonomous colleges on R23-generation regulations use (CGPA − 0.5) × 10, and so does JNTU Kakinada's own R23. PACE does not. At CGPA 8.0 that is 72.5% here versus 75% at those colleges — do not carry a figure across. Applies to: B.Tech (Regular, 160 credits) admitted from AY 2023-24 onward and B.Tech (Lateral Entry, 120 credits) from AY 2024-25 onward, under R23. Grade scale (10-point absolute): S (Superior) = 10 (≥90), A (Excellent) = 9 (80-89), B (Very Good) = 8 (70-79), C (Good) = 7 (60-69), D (Average) = 6 (50-59), E (Pass) = 5 (40-49), F (Fail) = 0, Ab (Absent) = 0. Class is awarded on CGPA, not percentage, and PACE's bands are RAISED relative to peers: First Class with Distinction ≥ 7.75 (without any supplementary appearance), First Class ≥ 6.75, Second Class ≥ 5.75 < 6.75, Pass Class ≥ 5.0 < 5.75 — where most AP autonomous colleges use 7.5/6.5/5.5/5.0. Non-credit audit courses are marked Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory and excluded from SGPA/CGPA/percentage; no class or division is awarded for Honors. COHORT LIMIT: verified for R23 only.
