University of Mumbai Board of Examinations Circular (Resolution 27-08-2015; issued 30-11-2015) for pre-autonomous cohort. AIKTC autonomous ordinance NOT retrieved.
AIKTC HAS TWO COHORTS WITH DIFFERENT CONVERSION RULES — THIS IS A COHORT-PAGE RECORD. AIKTC's own placement cell page states it is "An Autonomous Institute Affiliated to the University of Mumbai", and its homepage describes it as "one of the best NAAC Accredited with UGC-Autonomous Status campus in Navi Mumbai." It does NOT appear in the UGC Status List of 1222 Autonomous Colleges as on 27.08.2024, so the grant is at or after August 2024. The campus was established in 2011, so approximately 13 pre-autonomy intakes sat University of Mumbai examinations. COHORT 1 — PRE-AUTONOMOUS (all students admitted up to A.Y. 2023-24): sat University of Mumbai examinations. UoM uses a PIECEWISE formula under Board of Examinations Circular (Resolution 27-08-2015): Percentage = 7.1 × CGPI + 12 when CGPI is below 7.0, and Percentage = 7.4 × CGPI + 12 when CGPI is 7.0 or above. Note UoM calls the index CGPI, not CGPA. At CGPI 6.0: 54.6%; at CGPI 7.0: 63.8%; at CGPI 8.0: 71.2%; at CGPI 8.5: 74.9%. Source: same circular already backing mu_eng, sakec and fcritvashi in this registry. COHORT 2 — AUTONOMOUS (students admitted from A.Y. 2024-25 onward): sit AIKTC's own autonomous examinations under a scheme not yet published in any retrievable document. No autonomous ordinance was located. The first autonomous cohort does not graduate until AY 2027-28. NAAC CONFLICT: institute homepage states NAAC accredited; — neither matches the A-grade range implied by the homepage. The NAAC portal should be checked before publishing a grade. STRUCTURE NOTE: AIKTC is an integrated campus housing three colleges: School of Engineering & Technology, School of Pharmacy and School of Architecture. The Architecture programmes are regulated by the Council of Architecture and must not use an engineering conversion. The Pharmacy programmes are regulated by the Pharmacy Council of India. This record covers the School of Engineering & Technology only.
